PostSubject: Clarification of Roles of User Groups of the IVA   Wed Oct 27, 2010 12:51 pm

Clarification of User Group roles:

Observers:

Observers are individuals who are members of the site, but who are granted various levels of access, Level 3 at the lowest, to Level 1 at the highest, for limited periods and for various reasons. Some examples may include journalists or media representatives who may be granted access to observe certain debates, or to observe community debates around various issues, and in some cases, even to interact with participants. The Press area for example is designed to facilitate Q&A sessions.

Functional Representative Groups:

Ambassadors: The appointed Ambassadors of each country conclave, who are each head of a Coven, House or Group. Ambassadors act as the main spokesperson or liaison between their Conclave and the IVA, and may also need to engage with outside bodies in their areas on behalf of the IVA. These members have no access to restricted areas such as Executive Council, nor access to any other country Conclave but to that Conclave which they represent. They have full access to IVA Congress, where the general group interaction takes place.

Delegates: The designated Delegates of each country Conclave. These members are assistants to one particular Conclave Ambassador, and are delegated by their particular Ambassador to act in their stead should they not be available. Delegates will be House, Coven or Group leaders from the same country Conclave as the Ambassador. These members have no access to restricted areas such as Executive Council, nor access to any other country Conclave but to that Conclave which they represent. They have full access to IVA Congress, where the general group interaction takes place.

Executive Council: This is the leader and decision-making group for the IVA, which consists of representatives from various Conclaves, or notable Vampyre personalities, community figures, or leaders of community bodies of major significance. They have full access to all areas of the site, and some also have Admin status.

Management & Support Group:

Administrators and Moderators: These are the site Administrators, and this should be self-explanatory. Appointed staff who manage the forum, detailed to specific forum areas. Moderators and Moderators ideally need to be available to monitor the forum areas, spread across various time-zones. These may include staff whose job it is to update documentation on the site, or to post news items or press releases.
